First Digit - Metru Village of Origin
The first digit of the Kanoka disk simply tells which Metru village it was made in. This is important because
each village has its own unique power which is added to the disk. The power will dictate how the disk will fly. The numbers
and their Metru Village counterparts are as follows.
1 - This disk was made in Ta-Metru. This disk is the strongest of all the disks, as it can knock obstacles
out of the way to get to its target.
2 - This disk was made in Ga-Metru. This disk can change direction in mid-air, guided by the thrower's
thoughts.
3 - This disk was made in Po-Metru. This disk is most useful as an interception Kanoka, as it will deflect
other disks from their course.
4 - This disk was made in Ko-Metru, and it is one of the most agile, because it can dodge obstacles to
get to it's target.
5 - This disk was made in Le-Metru, and it will fly the furthest of any Kanoka.
6 - This disk was made in Onu-Metru, and it will always return to the thrower if it's blocked or diverted
from its course.
Second Digit - Kanoka Power
The first number said how the disk would fly, but the second number tells what the disk will do once it reaches
its target. The numbers and their power counterparts are as follows.
1 - This disk will reconstitute the target at random. This means that it will change the target into something
else, randomly. This is one of the most dangerous, because if you are fighting a bug, and you shoot this disk at it, and it
hits, it can turn into a speck of dust or into a full-sized Muaka (Sabercat).
2 - This disk will freeze the target.
3 - This disk will weaken the target.
4 - This disk will remove all poison from the target. Good for medical purposes, and for fighting poisonous
monsters.
5 - This disk will enlarge the target.
6 - This disk will freeze the target.
7 - This disk will regenerate the target, putting it back together, or restoring it to full health.
8 - This disk will teleport the target.
Third Digit - Power Level
The last number on the disk is the easiest to remember. It simply tells the Kanoka's power level on a scale
of 1 to 9, with 9 being the highest.
Looking at the numbers on the Kanoka, we can tell that this is a Level 3 Po-Metru Regenerate Disk. When
thrown, it will deflect other Kanoka from their course.
From Kanoka to Kanohi
Kanoka disks are used to Kanohi masks of power, too. Power level 1-6 Kanokas are used to make Matoran masks,
and they have no power. Power level 7 Kanokas are used to make Noble masks of power. Power level 8 Kanokas are used to make
Great masks of power. (Nuva masks are made by exposing Great masks to protodermis click
here for a guide to Kanohi.) Finally, Power level 9 Kanokas are known as Great Kanoka Disks. There are six of them, one from
each Metru village. When all six are found, these disks can save the city of Metru Nui from destruction!
